It is worth considering the advantages and disadvantages offered by both solutions to understand which one is best suited to meet your needs.<\/p>\n<h2>Traditional Hosting VS Cloud Servers<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Traditional hosting, also known as shared hosting, is certainly the least expensive solution between the two, and that is why it is the most popular on the market. As is known, in this case, multiple domains are hosted on a single server. This is, however, a reality that is not recommended to sites with a high traffic and do not need &#8220;ad hoc&#8221; hardware.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Of course, traditional hosting has disadvantages that can not be underestimated: from the classic slowdowns that occur when loading pages into real blocks, which is often not due to the impossibility of servers, to have to deal with loads working too high.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">You have to decide whether to spend a few dollars a year in the face of any unforeseen events or to look for other solutions on the horizon, such as &#8211; in fact &#8211; the cloud server: in principle, medium-sized sites, as well as those that are emerging and need to be launched yet, they do not need cloud servers but can easily reference the host, given the limited resource consumption that characterizes them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The cloud server is preferable, however, when you have bigger &#8220;claims&#8221; &#8211; these are machines with a dedicated RAM with a processor and disk space that share the resources with the virtualization technique.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Unlike virtual servers, the so-called VPS, the cloud server is able to increase hardware resources in real-time: the scalability concept now includes the ability to immediately change various parameters such as computational power, amount of RAM, dedicated bandwidth, and so on, without the need for a renegotiation of the <a href=\"https:\/\/danielepais.com\/journal\/free-to-download-retainers-contract-template\/\">contract<\/a> and, above all, only paying for the resources actually used for the amount of time they have been committed.<\/p>\n<p>As you can see, the main difference between hosting and cloud servers is that the first assumes a monthly or yearly rate, while the second provides for a consumer fee: it is not possible to determine which of the two solutions is the most cost-effective, because everything depends from the rates themselves.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a style=\"font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; it can be said that the cloud server is recommended to anyone who needs a virtual private server or a dedicated server but does not have enough money to afford them. In addition, it provides higher performance than shared hosting. Flexibility is another factor that deserves to be considered, as the cloud server allows you to customize and modify the space in the cloud according to your needs by setting how you want CPU and RAM.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One last thing to look at is security: if with traditional hosting, the risk of downtime, though not frequent, is concrete, with the cloud server this danger is virtually absent. Data security is also protected: In the event of any failure or inconvenience of any kind, it is more likely a data damage to a hosting than damage to a cloud server.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Personally I have used Traditional Hosting for more than 10 years and have changed from one major vendor to the other and found problems in all of them until\u00a0 a point in which my website was not loading at all and the hosting company support continued to tell me that everything was fine and asked me if I had loaded too many images and similar things. That was it, about a year ago&#8217; I made my move after consulting other developers and designers and also listening to podcasts and reading articles. I am now using <a href=\"https:\/\/m.do.co\/c\/a07a53b44d40\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DigitalOcean<\/a> and despite having a few issues to solve at the beginning, (no CPanel as I was used to), after installing Ubuntu Server \/ Apache \/ PHP MyAdmin and Mysql, I was doing just fine, exactly as I do on my workstation at <a href=\"https:\/\/danielepais.com\/journal\/work-on-pc-from-home\/\">home<\/a>. I can now direct domains into folders that contain as many websites as I wish, (with the same account). I have my mail server installed and the most important thing is that the website pages load like a breeze.
