This was apparently asked from the customer as a main feature required. The customer was provided two video cards, however, none of them was compatible.
Sli, (nvidia) or crossfire, (amd) is almost the same feature. It is the capability for a video card to run in conjunction with another video card. In a Sli or Crossfire, both cards will have to have additional pins connectors, (most of the time this are situated on the top in one of the extremities), pins connectors will bridge the 2 cards with a ribbon cable.
In addition to the hardware also additional software is included from the card manufacturer as the cards clock speed can be overclocked from one unified interface.
