In a distant future, Titan has been colonized.
The Plot
Despite ground bases being of extensive size and comprising of entire cities, most of the intersystem private traffic and business happens aboard orbiting stations where shuttles vehicles fly back and forth to deliver important goods to main cargo ship back to Mars and Other Colonies.
A cargo delivery shuttle coming from the Andromeda Mining Federation with clearance type A has just docked to its orbiting state. At this very delicate point the power cuts off from its docking pier and starts a series of malfunctions that create the havoc.
The pilot of this small shuttle is forced to leave the vehicle and try to activate the emergency power just a few hundred meters from its current dock. In an attempt to try to reach the main station the panic takes his toll, his eyesight get worse…he reaches the main station and enters the room just in time to apprehend that the all station is jeopardized …
The Making
Among the Amazing and Terrific Technology used to film this project is worth to note the use of the following:
- A router, (lights on the back ports)
- A DVD Laser Disk, (red flashing light with moving parts)
- A PC motherboard internal components and lights
- A digital Alarm Clock
- A 2 liters plastic bottle cut in half, (Distressed pilot breath recorded inside)
- A mix of more than 15 radio chat taken from movies
- A speech synthesis system, (Maria TTS)
- Pre-Keyed Explosions from detonationfilms.com, (explosions in space can only be heard from inside an ambient as sound waves do not travel in a vacuum so they cannot be heard)
- Various sounds effects found online
- A full weekend of tinkering with PC, camera and components.
