J.I.B Computers – Phuket

Review # 1: had many problems. First, we built up one gaming pc, and we agreed on price, and i paid the deposit the next day they called me and told me that cooler is broken and they dont have, so they put a differet version cost me more after when they try to build my pc grafic card they use surprisingly broken too and the change with lower versions i see that and i said why you guys didn’t put the same brand they said we dont have same color so they can lower the version still not same color and they are talking about that i dobt care the color to be honest. at the end, i checked my pc a few times, and i bought it. (reviewed by: Yamac Suner rating: 3 date published: December 25, 2023)

Review # 2: The team at J.I.B. Central Festival Phuket is awesome, in just 30 minutes they’ve put together from their shelves, all necessary components to build one of the best gaming PC money can buy. An Intel i9 12900KF, sitting on an ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-F, surrounded with 32GB DDR5 and 3T of GEN4 SSDs. Kudos for the quick replacement of one of the SSD that was not working properly on this motherboard. The build is now running perfectly AAA VR games and simulations. Review # 3: I’ve visited a few times. Each time I was assisted, but not pushed. No one has ever tried to ‘up sale’ me anything. I speak Thai, but the guy who helped me yesterday started speaking English. His English was close to perfect. I had a bad experience recently though. The English-speaking guy wasn’t there and I wanted to get a RAM upgrade on my older laptop. The staff literally went to a computer to see how to access RAM. After about 15 minutes, he said they didn’t have it. He said my computer had two sticks of 2 GB ram. Well, no, it has one stick of 4 GB. I went to another computer shop and they did the upgrade. It would have been quicker and more appropriate to remove the base of the computer and actually look than to look it up (incorrectly) on the shop computer… oh well. Review # 4: Went there on 17.05.19 because I couldn’t switch on my PC… after waiting for a few hours they called and said the mainboard is broken and i have to change it + the CPU + the RAM in total 15.000thb! After this shock i took my PC and went to JIB in Phuket Town, they checked and said everything is working but I should buy a new power cable for 30Baht which could have caused the Problem and yes my PC is running great again! Please be careful and don’t believe everything! Review # 5: Tried ordering via JIB online but could not complete credit card purchase successfully. I called JIB but could not speak to anyone in English. So I went to Phuket and spoke with Anan, the manager of the JIB Big C’s basement location, who made a phone call and processed the order for me. The computer was at the store within 2 days. Anan speaks good English and was very helpful in assisting me with my purchase. Held back one star on this review only because I did not receive a phone call when it was at the store as promised but after just showing up it was there as he said it would be. (reviewed by: Chris Badger rating: 4 date published: December 17, 2018)
