Design A Logo With A Vision [Part 4]

SME logo

In this logo for the SME TV Industrial Channel we have a wrench and a nut that symbolises industrial, the wrench also double up as a man, (the red nut being his head).

The man is both a reference to human power, labour, collaboration, innovation and productivity.

The man arms are robust in order to defuse a sense of strength, power and trust, his arms are also raised high and he is holding a diamond which is a precious element that is one of the matters dealt in this business TV Channel.
The belly of the man is represented by a factory icon, this is a sign of nourishment and rebuilding material like when the human body break down the food (thoughts), into a liquid (material life), it is a cycle of life and strengthen the feeling of continuity, safety, consistency and legacy between old and new.

The choice of red for the head is due to the message of strength that the SME symbol will give to its audience.

The Gray color is the metal. Human association with metals goes a long way back in history. The ancient people viewed metals as mysterious materials found deep inside the earth and believed them to be full of spiritual powers and potential for creation.

The brown and yellow color remind us of more natural impact, wood, hearth, dry leaves, this are all element that stand as a symbol of renewable energy, warmth and protection.
