If you are reading this page probably you have already noticed that Google display ads with an annoying yellow colored background, (see image on the right).
Google uses the “ins” tag by default in order to wrap this ads and many CMS systems and Themes, (WordPress / Drupal and such), assign a light yellow color for this tag.
If you are like me and many others and you want to get rid of it, is not going to be a big issue, actually In this case it is a very simple task.
let’s see how we can do it together.
1- Open Filezilla or your choice of FTP program and browse to your drupal root selecting the “themes” folder.
2- Select your theme
3- On your stylesheet lookup for the “ins” tags to alter its content and if you cannot find it just add the code snippet as below
4- Save your CSS file an upload it to your website, then refresh your browser and see that now the yellow background has been replaced with a white. You can change the color value according to your site stylesheet standard colors.
That’s it, a quick and simple task, please remember to always backup your original files, (CSS etc.), just in case something doesn’t look right you can still revert back as it was before.
